Planet Nusa has grown quickly in recent years. In 2025, we focused on strengthening the foundation behind that growth - creating clearer direction, stronger structures, and a more consistent way of working.
Our approach is guided by four focus areas where we see the opportunity to strengthen how we operate. These focus on how we design and source our products, how we identify and address risks across our operations and value chain, how we engage with our community, and how we communicate our choices with openness.
2025 marks our baseline year, the focus has been on building the underlying structures, principles, and processes that support this work. As our data and systems develop, these efforts will continue to evolve and become more integrated into how we operate.
Circularity & Sourcing
Strengthen internal sourcing capabilities and further develop design and sourcing principles to support more structured decision-making on materials and product design, including considerations related to product durability and resource use.
Within this focus area, we aim to clarify how circularity considerations and informed sourcing decisions are integrated into design and product development. During the strategy period 2025–2027, the emphasis will be on updating internal principles and guidance rather than introducing fixed targets. This work is intended to support more consistent decision-making and provide a clearer foundation for future development.
Community Engagement
Being community-driven isn’t just something we say. It means aiming to create value for people in our community. That’s why we are taking a more structured approach to measuring our community efforts: to better understand what works, identify areas for improvement, and increase transparency around our activities.
Community engagement has long been part of Planet Nusa’s activities. During the strategy period, the focus will be on strengthening how these activities are documented, assessed, and further developed. This includes improving internal tracking of participation and formats, as well as building a clearer understanding of how community engagement contributes to dialogue, learning, and long-term relationships.
Communicating Our Choices
Strengthen how we communicate our processes and the reasoning behind our decisions. This includes documenting key steps, learnings, and challenges to provide stakeholders, including our community, with greater insight into our approach, for example through an annual sustainability progress report.
Planet Nusa does not position itself as a sustainable brand. Instead, we aim to improve how we explain the choices we make, the trade-offs involved, and the areas where we are still developing. A key element of this focus area is the commitment to publishing an annual sustainability progress report, documenting our approach, processes, and progress.
Sustainability Due Diligence
Implement due diligence processes across operations and supply chains, aligned with the UN Guiding Principles and OECD Guidelines. The focus is on establishing relevant policies, conducting impact assessments, and enabling access to remedy — while continuously working to ensure these processes are effective in practice.
During the strategy period, the focus is on establishing a structured approach to identifying, assessing, and addressing sustainability-related risks within our own operations and across our value chain. This includes clarifying internal roles and responsibilities, strengthening supplier vetting processes, and improving documentation and follow-up procedures. The objective is to support the integration of due diligence into relevant business decisions.
